HAYSTACK RESERVOIR CAMPGROUND

Haystack Reservoir is located 8 miles south of Madras Oregon just 2 miles off HWY 97. The campground sits adjacent to the Crooked River National Grasslands and the reservoir is known for boating and fishing. The West Shore has 16 regular tent / small RV sites, a boat ramp with boarding floats, boat trailer parking and day-use area. The South Shore is home to three large group sites that can accommodate up to 50 people with 25 RV’s / tents. The North Shore day-use area has a wonderful fishing pier that sits out over the reservoir and offers beautiful views. Firewood and Ice are sold by the camp hosts on site. Reservations can be made up to thirteen months in advance and are recommended as this site does fill up quickly. Reservations cannot be made within 48 hours of arrival online. We do allow first come first serve as availability allows, reservations take priority. The water in Haystack Reservoir is used for irrigation and at times the level goes up and down.
