What is the Adopt-A-Park Program?
Adopt-A-Park is a simple program designed to encourage people in the community to help keep our parks, trails and open space clean and in tip top shape. Typically this involves an individual or group making a commitment (typically one year) to volunteer their time to help with some maintenance related tasks.

What is the time commitment?
We recognize that your time is extremely valuable, and people’s schedules tend to change constantly. However, we ask that if you are going to adopt-a-park, you commit to an appropriate amount of time necessary to keep up with your volunteer responsibilities. Each area adopted has its own unique needs and therefore we don’t put specific demands on the amount of time on groups and individuals spend. We work with you to figure out the best arrangement and support your ongoing efforts. The recommended term that we typically ask someone to commit to is 1 year.
What types of tasks and projects can be done in adopted parks?
There are many different projects that you can assist with. Weather and time of year also play a role in determining park projects as each season brings different needs. Here are examples of typical projects:
-
Litter pick up
-

-
