Location: Pioneer Gym, 200 NE Fairview St, Prineville. The gym is located one block south of NE 3rd Street, it is a Quonset hut style structure with 3 courts. For entrance to the gym, go inside the chainlink fence and to the right front door.
Indoor play is scheduled through Crook County Parks & Recreation District as listed in their Fall/Winter 2018 Recreation Guide. Indoor play takes place November through March and possibly April if poor weather is an issue.
Cost: $5 per session – payable by either $5 cash at the gym or with a 6-session punch card purchased from the Parks & Rec office. The punch card is good for 6-sessions, has no expiration date, cost is $30. The Parks & Rec office is located at 296 S Main Street, Prineville, phone-541 447-1209. No pickleball club membership is currently required.
Details: Play is open to everyone over age 16. At this time we do not restrict sessions to specific skill levels, although at some sessions Court 1 (near the gym entrance) is used for more competitive play, Court 3 (near the stage) is for more casual play including beginners, and Court 2 is in the middle. A few loaner paddles are available and balls are provided. Free lessons are available at each session.
